Terms of Service

This is a general-purpose terms of service template drafted for ChambaPay's current feature set. It is provided for convenience and does not constitute legal advice. Before relying on it in production — especially given that ChambaPay processes payments and stores client personal information — have it reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using ChambaPay (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

ChambaPay is a web application that lets contractors and service businesses build price catalogs, generate estimates from measurements and prices, convert estimates into invoices and receipts, brand PDF documents, track income on a dashboard, and accept online payments from their own clients via Stripe.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@chambapay.app if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

Free plan: limited to a set number of documents per calendar month, at no cost, for as long as you like.
Premium plan: a paid monthly subscription (currently $6.99/month) billed automatically through Stripe until cancelled. Pricing may change with advance notice.
Cancellation: you may cancel your Premium subscription at any time from Company Settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
Failed payments: if a renewal payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the Free plan and its document limits.

5. Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into ChambaPay, including your company information and the client records, estimates, invoices, and receipts you create ("Your Content"). You grant ChambaPay a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of Your Content and for having the right to store any client personal information you enter.

6. Payments to Your Clients (Stripe)

ChambaPay integrates with Stripe to let your clients pay invoices online. ChambaPay is not a party to the underlying transaction between you and your client and does not take custody of these funds — they are handled directly by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for your relationship with your clients, including any disputes, refunds, or chargebacks.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use the Service for unlawful purposes; upload malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or to the Service's infrastructure; resell or white-label the Service without written permission; or use the Service to send unsolicited communications.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Company Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. ChambaPay does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChambaPay and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
